Phone Icon: The '1' denotes a notification - a new iPhone announcement. Or does this mean "A missed call"? as in that the iPhone missed its annual June release cycle! 

Lets talk iPhone: This event is going to be iPhone centered, and the invite says so. There is also a rumor of an upcoming "Talk to your iPhone" feature.

Thoughts about the iPod: iPod events usually take place in September - and the lack of this September event means that the iPod is not getting any 'major' updates and that they are not as important as earlier. These are my guesses:

- The Classic will be discontinued (with the release of the 128gb Touch)

- The Touch will get a 128gb version. A white version? A 3G version (iMessage)?

- The Nano could become more sleek/curvy to fit perfectly(to body contours) as a watch ;)

- The Shuffle may go too (as it is no smaller than the Nano and no better without a screen)

iPod Nano - 8GB/16GB - widgets, music - wearable

iPod Touch with 3G - 8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB - iPhone without Phone

iPhone 5 - 16GB/32GB (& iPhone 4 8GB for upcoming markets)
